Plantation shutters are a timeless classic. Three types of shutters are popular in today's market: faux wood shutters, composite shutters (poly mix) and basswood (real wood) shutters.

Faux Wood Shutters
Faux wood or PVC shutters are made of 100% vinyl. They are light and durable and are perfect for the budget minded consumer. They are great for wet and humid environments. They typically come in very limited colors and styles. Shades Shutters Blinds uses the L-Frame and Z-Frame (trim frame) for VinylBilt Shutters. Composite Shutters

NewStyle™ Hybrid

Composite Shutters are becoming more popular. They are made of a wood and PVC mixture (poly). They are also great for heavy moisture or damp locations. They are the heaviest of the shutters. The wood and PVC interior is covered with a superior paint coating up to 9 layers thick!. These plantation shutters also come in three popular colors – Bright White, Antique White and Cream. We offer the L-Frame and Z-Frame for our Woodwinds Poly Shutters.

Wood Shutters
Wood Shutters are made from 100% basswood. These take the longest to make (around 6-8 weeks for delivery). Wood Plantation Shutters are light and take a stain beautifully. All of our shutters are available in a single panel, double panel and bi-fold options.		Heritance® Hardwood
